Biography of Beyoncé

Beyoncé is 41 year-old artist who has already accumulated 29 Grammy Awards! She had the honour of singing the American national anthem at the second inauguration of Barack Obama, as well as during the half time of the Super Bowl.

AN EARLY VOCATION

Born in 1981 in Houston, it was at school that she revealed her talent as a singer, and she was already taking ballet and modern jazz lessons.

At the age of 9, she enrolled her friend Kelly Rowland in a singing competition. After this, the girls joined the group, Girl's Tyme, with whom they participated in the TV talent show, "Star Search", in 1993.

HER EARLY DAYS WITH DESTINY’S CHILD

In 1997, the group, reduced to 4 singers, with Beyoncé as the star, signed to Columbia under the name of Destiny's Child. In 1998, they released the self-titled album, which included their first hit "No, No, No".
Until 2003, the band released four studio albums and had four number one singles in the United States. They sold more than 40 million records.

AN INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL SOLO CAREER

One of the first appearances of Beyoncé as a solo artist took place in 2003 on the soundtrack of the Austin Powers film, Goldmember, in which she appeared alongside Mike Myers.

The same year, she released "'Bonnie & Clyde 03", a duet with Jay-Z. She then prepared the release of her first solo album, Dangerously In Love, which came out in June 2003. Between 2003 and 2015, Beyoncé released 5 studio albums, and the sixth is expected sometime in 2016.
