The vocals, originally performed by Dave Evans, were quickly given to Bon Scott, who was considered to be more experienced and suited to the Group. He was the Group’s singer from 1974 until his death in 1980.
A TRAGEDY, THE DEATH OF BON SCOTT, AND A NEW LIFE WITH BRIAN JOHNSON
The frontman's death on February 19, 1980 marked a setback for the group which considered breaking up for a time, before making the decision to continue the adventure, because "that's what Bon would have wanted".
He was replaced by Brian Johnson, then singer of the group Geordie, who still holds this position today. Between 1980 and 2016, the group released nine albums for a total of 17 albums over their entire career.
