Biography of PLK
PLK, whose real name is Mathieu Pruski, is a French rapper born on 15 April 1997 in Paris. Of Polish descent on his father's side and Corsican on his mother's, he takes his stage name from his roots: ‘PLK’ stands for ‘Polak’, a nickname often given to people of Polish origin. From a very young age, he developed a passion for music and began writing his first lyrics at the age of 9. His musical universe is inspired by everyday life, his origins, and his many influences.
PLK first made a name for himself as part of the group Panama Bende, before launching his solo career with powerful mixtapes that quickly captivated a wide audience. PLK quickly established himself as one of the most promising artists in French-language rap, alongside artists such as Ninho, SCH and Hamza. With hit songs and authentic lyrics, he stands out on the urban scene.
His album, entitled ‘Enna’, released in 2020, marked a turning point in his career. Widely acclaimed by critics and fans alike, it reveals a mature artist, capable of tackling a variety of subjects while retaining a strong identity. PLK has had a string of prestigious collaborations, notably with Niska and more recently with Bekar, and continues to reinvent himself without losing his sincerity.
In 2023, PLK launched a national tour that caused quite a stir. From Lille to Toulouse, each concert was an intense moment for fans. Among the most memorable dates, those at the Accor Arena in Paris in March 2024 were a highlight of the tour. Tickets sold out in a matter of hours, each one becoming a precious ticket to an emotionally charged show.
The artist also performed at several major festivals, confirming his stature on the national and European scene. Whether at Printemps de Bourges or Les Vieilles Charrues, PLK won over audiences with his energy and closeness to his fans.
His latest project, ‘Chambre 140’, was eagerly awaited and released in early 2024. It confirms PLK's return to the roots of rap, with rawer sounds and deep introspection.
With two concerts coming up at the Stade de France on 4 and 5 September 2026, it is clear that PLK is more than ever an artist not to be missed. Buying a ticket to one of his shows guarantees a unique experience, combining an electric atmosphere with communion with a loyal audience.
