Biography of NISKA
Niska, whose real name is Georges Dinga-Pinto, is a French rapper of Congolese origin, born on 6 April 1994 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and raised in Évry, in the Paris region.
A leading figure in French rap and Afro-trap, he made a name for himself in the mid-2010s thanks to his viral freestyles on YouTube, including ‘Freestyle PSG’, which contributed to his rapid rise to fame.
His career took a decisive turn in 2015 with the success of the track “Sapés comme jamais”, a collaboration with Maître Gims, which brought him to the attention of the wider public. In the wake of this, Niska developed a strong identity, notably through his famous “charo dance”, which became a genuine cultural phenomenon.
In 2016, he released his debut album *Zifukoro*, which was quickly certified gold and then platinum, cementing his status as the new star of French rap. He followed this up with *Commando* (2017), driven by the hit “Réseaux” – one of the biggest French rap hits of the decade – then with *Mr Sal* (2019) and several other projects that attracted a large audience.
Renowned for his stage presence, his unifying hits and his style blending trap with African influences, Niska has collaborated extensively with leading artists and has firmly established himself as one of the key figures on the French urban music scene.
