Ninho at the Stade de France
Biography of NINHO
William Nzobazola, better known as Ninho, was born on 2 April 1996 in Longjumeau, Essonne, and grew up in Yerres and Nemours. Of Kino-Congolese origin, he is the son of singer Serge Kiambukuta, who died in May 2022. Attracted to rap at an early age, he began rapping at the age of 12, influenced by the rappers in his neighbourhood.
THE BEGINNINGS AND A FIRST ALBUM
2017, THE FIRST CERTIFICATIONS
That same year, Ninho made a name for himself as one of France's most certified rappers, and the trend has only continued. In 2018, his mixtape M.I.L.S. 2.0 went triple platinum, buoyed by singles like ‘Un Poco’ and ‘Fendi’. The following year, his second album ‘Destin’ confirmed his status: all the tracks were certified, and the album went diamond, with collaborations with Niska, Dadju, Koba LaD, Jul, Faouzia and Fally Ipupa, consolidating his musical success. In 2019, he sold out the Zenith in Paris, at La Villette. In 2020, the M.I.L.S. 3.0 mixtape was released, marked by the hit ‘Lettre à une femme’, a 24-hour streaming record on Spotify, making Ninho one of the best rappers and the most listened-to French artist of the year.
In 2021, Ninho released his album Jefe, without any featuring, which went gold in six days and was certified platinum in three weeks; he is now one of only four French rappers to have four diamond projects (M.I.L.S. 3.0, Comme prévu, Destin, Jefe). In 2023, his album NI confirmed his domination, with international collaborations (Central Cee, Lil Baby, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay) and rapid certification.
‘GOAT’, A MAJOR ALBUM
In October 2024, Ninho and Niska released the joint album GOAT, a major event in French rap, with 15 tracks, including a feat with Koba LaD, illustrating the chemistry between two iconic artists.
NINHO'S CONCERT SCHEDULE CONTINUES TO GROW
After a festival (We Love Green) in May 2024 with Hamza, he launched the Jefe Airlines Tour, playing Zéniths in cities such as Nice, Montpellier, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Nantes, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Rouen, and finally two historic concerts at the Stade de France on 2 and 3 May 2025 - becoming the first French rapper to fill the arena two nights in a row. He is also on the GOAT Tour with Niska, kicking off in January 2025 at the Zeniths and the ING arena in Brussels, followed by an announced date at the Nîmes arenas in July 2025, sold out according to the official ticket office. Fans of Ninho can check the box office for tickets, and follow the list of dates on his website.
THE REASONS FOR ITS SUCCESS
His success can be attributed to his ability to produce punchy wordplay, recognisable freestyles and exposure in the rap media. He is often considered a GOAT (‘greatest of all time’) on the French rap scene, alongside the likes of Damso, Soprano, Niska and Hamza, rappers with whom he has artistic links and sometimes featurings.
His career has mirrored the evolution of rap in France: from his home in Essonne to full arenas, with a loyal fan base that has accompanied him from his first mixtapes to his tours, including major events such as the Stade de France and the Nîmes arena. His place today is undeniable: one of the leading figures in the mainstream and a pillar of French rap.
