A TENNIS PLAYER'S CAREER

Born on May 18, 1960 in Sedan, Yannick Noah dedicated himself to tennis from the age of 11. At only 23, he bowled over the French on the clay courts of Roland Garros, winning the tournament in 1983!

Currently, he is the last French winner of the men's tournament. In 1991, he became captain of the France Davis Cup and Fed Cup teams. He led the French men's team to victory in the finals in 1991 and 1996.

A SINGING CAREER

He began his singing career in 1991 with his famous hit "Saga Africa". Considered as one of France's favourite celebrities, all his albums were successful. His song, Saga Africa, in 1991, his albums Pokhara in 2003, Métisse(s) in 2005 and Charango in 2006 were his biggest hits.

Committed, Yannick Noah sings for les Restos du Cœur and sponsors the WWF, les Enfants de la Terre and le Téléthon.
